Tell the truth

Playing~"knocks you down"-Keri Hilson ft. Kanye

Why are we so afraid of the truth? Truth is just a fact in our or others life. What is it about the truth that makes us lie?

***sidenote******
I'll be back with a real post. My life has been in such a quasi state; I've been trying to gain understanding. A lot of decisions are before me and I need to make some critical decisions. Those decisions were implied during my last post.

Your guess is as good as mine.

If I were pressed to answer, I would say that sometimes by telling the truth we reveal our real selves instead of our perceived selves.

Nahhh man! This is a real post! Why are we afraid of the truth? I just mentioned something along those lines on Mornin Manna! The truth is sooo liberating, so why do we avoid it? Oh I'm about to talk about this on I Wonder!!!

Great question. I guess it's because we're so afraid of what we may have to face once the truth is unleashed. We don't want to hurt other people's feelings or ours. But we do ourselves (and all parties involved) a disservice by not being truthful, honest, or real. We live in a society that says it values truth and honesty, yet we're indoctrinated by fantasy, the unreal, the phony, and lies. Some may think, why tell the truth - it's so much easier to lie? Though the lie may relieve whatever you don't want to deal with - it's only momentary. There may come a time when you will have to deal with the truth. So you might as well just tell like it is - truthfully.
